August 15, 2007Green Energy will soon be available in Centralia and the Wilson Hotel is signed up to be the very first Green Customer! Rich Baine, Operations Manager of Centralia City Light Department shared with us that the current goal is to be offering ‘green energy’ in 2008.
The City Light Department is going through the paperwork process in order to have the current hydroelectric energy plant that provides power to the city designated as a green energy source. In the meantime, the City will begin buying green power through the 9 Mile Canyon wind power source to meet the demand for green energy.
